National general of Indonesia : Sudirman
Purbalingga, in there the little sudirman was born. In 1916, he was raised by his uncle at Cilacap. A diligent student at a Muhammadiyah-run school, he became respected within the community for his devotion to Islam. After dropping out of teacher's college, in 1936 he began working as a teacher, and later headmaster, at a Muhammadiyah-run elementary school.
In 29, he already became the military's commander-in-chief in Yogyakarta at an election. He was chosen over Oerip Soemohardjo. He didn't gain his general position through militery academy or else but because of his loyalty.
At 1950, he was sick with tuberculosis, but he still led several guerrilla actions against the Dutch. At first the president, Mr.Soekarno didn't allow him to lead the guerillas, Soekarno asked him to stay in the city. But he didn't do what Soekarno said because of his responsibility as the leader. When Sudirman on guerilla war, he always keep up the soldiers spirit even though he was sick while he didnt have any medicine. But finally he got to leave the war area because he couldn't lead the soldiers in the field anymore.
Magelang, January 1950, he died and was buried in Heroes Cementery in Semaki, Yogyakarta. Even though his already gone, but his name will always be remember.

There is a lot more that we can take from General Sudirman. Always remember and pray for our national heroes.
